Unlike the casual lesson market, Ed's studio is built on an elite academic foundation. He attended Berklee College of Music on scholarship. His potential was recognized early when the college offered him a teaching position at just 19 years old.  Choosing instead to focus on his formal training, Ed completed his Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Jazz Composition and Arranging, later earning a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree, as well as extensive post-graduate studies in educational theory.

Ed's professional background includes extensive studio session work, where he has been hired to perform and record alongside elite musicians, in addition to tracking his own original compositions. He is also the author of a published guitar method book and numerous industry articles.

Ultimately, Ed believes that a dedicated educator should be judged not by their own resume, but by the real-world accomplishments of their students. On that front, his track record speaks for itself. With over 100 scholarship and award winning students to his credit, Ed has consistently provided the highest quality music lessons available. His students have played everywhere from public school recitals to performances at festivals - and even with symphony orchestras!
